Infection Prevention and Control Course
Infection prevention and control (IPAC) is critical for safe patient care. Highly contagious respiratory and blood-borne diseases have emerged in recent years, most notably the COVID-19 pandemic. Dentists and oral health care workers (OHCWs) are responsible for establishing, evaluating and continuously updating their IPAC protocols. This course will provide OHCWs with the knowledge to implement necessary IPAC measures in dental practice. The course is based on the RCDSO’s Standard of Practice for Infection Control (2018), which consolidates dentally relevant legislation, standards and recommendations from government and other related health care agencies.
