Careers at the College

The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario invests significant time and energy to create a positive and safe environment where everyone can share ideas, solve problems and thrive and grow as individuals and teams.

Who we are

The RCDSO licenses and oversees nearly 10,000 dentists in the province.

We work in the public interest by putting patients first. We are committed to transparency, accessibility, and fairness in all of our work. We protect the public’s right to quality dental services by providing leadership to the dental profession in regulation

Meet the Neighbourhood

College staff are now working remotely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our virtual neighbourhood includes a vibrant intranet site, and regular bi-weekly meetings with our Registrar/CEO.

Our building is located directly across from the Rosedale subway station. Many of our employees take public transit to work, and travel in from all over the GTA.

Nearby amenities that are within a five minute walk from our office include:

  • Rosedale subway station
  • Variety of restaurants
  • Major shopping mall
  • Daycare centre
  • Fitness club
  • Park and walking trails
  • Toronto reference library

Work environment

A little down time can help strengthen working relationships. We have a great social committee that organizes potlucks, breakfasts, a summer event and a holiday party on behalf of staff. People get a chance to relax and get to know one another. It is also a great opportunity for new employees to meet their co-workers.

In the summer, staff enjoy 5-hour workdays every Friday. We also hold all staff Town Hall meetings two to three times a year.

To allow staff some flexibility in their work day, RCDSO also provides alternative work arrangements for employees.
